Live Traders Education
Live Traders offers trading education several different ways:
- YouTube videos This is how I first encountered Live Traders. Jared, in particular, has dozens of videos where he freely shares much of his knowledge about trading. He explains concepts in language that is easy to understand. From my perspective, he really knows his stuff. His approach to trading includes not only the technical aspects, but also trade- and self-management. Check out the Live Traders channel. Recommended. Free.
- Paid Education Several different paid courses are offered, I have taken two or three. Compared to other courses I have taken or investigated from other vendors, I find Live Traders offers the best value for the price so far (leaving aside a discussion of the value of free video offerings). It's not cheap, but I have seen courses costing easily twenty times as much (which I have not taken, though I have taken others that are equally as expensive). The premier offering is Professional Trading Strategies (PTS), which I took. I have learned a tremendous amount. There is also a more basic course, and a forex course (which I also took).
- Chat Room Discussions Live Traders runs a daily chat room for just under three hours every trading day, offering market analysis and live commentary, opinion, and education on price action in the market. Jared and Anmol share their trade ideas as do other room members from time to time, win or lose. Sometimes a room member will do something bone-headed, and Jared in particular will engage in his own brand of tough love, which is generally educational and enlightening, though usually somewhat uncomfortable for the protagonist - though praise for good comments and smart moves flows equally easily. Jared also does a (roughly) weekly discussion focusing on a relevant topic; some of these also get posted on youtube. Moderate monthly fee - I have not done a lot of comparison shopping, but the price seems in line with other chat rooms.
